TRUSS & COMPONENT WARNING NOTICE

TRUSS Y COMPONENTE AVISO DE ADVERTENCIA

RISK of serious injury or death could result from a framing or other construction worker’s improper use, handling, installation, or activity concerning floor and roof trusses and components (“Trusses”).

ALL activity relating to Trusses shall comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction and applicable state OSHA requirements (“OSHA Guidelines”).

El RIESGO de lesiones graves o muerte podría resultar del uso, manipulación, instalación o actividad inadecuada de un marco u otro trabajador de la construcción en relación con las trusses y componentes del piso y el techo (“Trusses”).

Safety Information:

Risk of Serious Injury or Death Could Result from:

Falling when installing and working among Trusses.
The collapse or rolling of Trusses not completely installed and braced.
Walking on or supporting yourself from Trusses or gable end frames lying flat.
In the absence of a fall protection system that conforms to the OSHA Guidelines, stepping or walking on:
- The top chord of any floor or roof Truss during installation until the Truss is part of a fully installed and braced Truss system;
- The bottom chord of any floor or roof Truss at any time during or after installation; and
- Any floor or roof Truss positioned in a horizontal orientation.

Additional Warnings and Precautions:

DO NOT stand on Truss overhangs until structural sheathing and required blocking has been applied.
Framing should not be considered to be structurally sound, stable, or safe until all hardware, restraints, and bracing are properly and completely installed.
